1.
Lay Down 07:21
Ten thousand years are sealed away, hanging in hallowed stone
and staring out into stubborn fate.
For when I dream alone
to write the old face down.
No more of this fighting fate in me.
How can I not go mad if I’m alive to my own crippling fate?
But to love without regret?
And if my hand reaches in from the other side you’ll know that everything I’ve said is yours now.

A kind of sin against this mortal coil to write for what may land
beyond the outstretched hands of death. Overstepping body and thy bone.

Giving over blood and dust
in ceremonious love of fate
. And stretch onward if it will.
Or disintegrate into time.
Dreaming up ways to go on,
dreaming up ways to seal my fate, enduring light and time,
confiding in the tides of fate.
From here on in voided hands, giving up what I’ve only loved
 and admiring what comes
.
2.
Tasteless 06:02
Find me the son of a flood plain now
Crashing and running wild in white
Come son and drink up the blood you’ve lost
Until your spines pulled out for all to see
Licked fingers pointing south
One more time face to face
Now remove my crowned ego

Love of the fate who’s hands dig the holes
And biting on roots dreaming of sky
And while soaking in land and loam
For when it calls itself back

Splinters left over from when I reached for sky
Debris left floating from all those years of storming eyes
Fires still burning from every breath I released
Metals coursing through my blood from a marriage to the dirt
A thousand lives to sleep through
A thousand dreams of cosmic dust
3.
Ages 07:19
From eyes of sea, horizon lines
 From weathered heights, hanging sighs
 From my own bending spine
 For making all this noise
and craning on
From my own storming eyes
It seems I’ve seen what keeps day and night
You and I, we’re always crooning on
And I am always running wild

Decades of growing hands
Mixing ash and liquid
It seems I’ve made it A promise from
wisdom's thread reaching I dream to tie on
A love for all things terrifying

It seems I’ve rung out all my darkened eyes
What ripples across the universe tears it apart
Rips it in two in the age of dread
 Seeing necessity in all things

Fulfilling paths of only veracity
We’ve captured raijin just to see him tie in
Walking toward the flame now give it away
And may we find we’ve always known
4.
Buried a fifth
And I’ll make up the day
Another headache
 With the suns unkind rise

Staring out into the world from a nightly binge of blacking out
 And pulling the shades

Drunk and asleep And dreaming of the way
I could so feel so safe
If I could find the strength

 Signs of the past
 Signs of breathing again
All hallowing from the walls and
sodden with drink

Drunk on the floor and happily at war with myself again
Lying in filth

The man who can’t see his own hands
Have stolen by dark all of the new days
And it’s all to forget
And it’s all for you

A mood that sparks the day
More rude awakenings
All trying to tell me something

You’ve got to be a fighter inside
Killing off the man who sunk his teeth in And

I don’t want to go out this way
Murdered in a duel with no one but myself

It’s been so long
 It’s been long enough
 Jaded and overworked
 Worn in and broken loose

 Dying for a change
I’m not trying to win
I’m just saying we can’t stay like this
It’s not healthy

I don’t want to cheat or prove you wrong
It’s easy, I just want returned what’s mine

And it’s all to get better
And all for you

I’ll wait for things to change
But I’m stuck missing the days when you were alive
If you were here you’d say I’m one stubborn bastard
You’d say there’s no time for tears
